The Zealotry of Hate

By

I dissent quite often with theism or religion in general. Why? Hate. Nothing brings out hate like one’s faith or religion. It is on display quite openly on social media with the white christian nationalists (they don’t deserve capitalization) who are deathly opposed, afraid, or angered by Zohran Momdani and Abdul El-Sayed. This hate is also transferred from the Zionists in Israel to their Muslim neighbors in the Middle East. This hate is also invested in by the extremist sects of Islam in Afghanistan and Iran. Religion is the source of this hate, and if any of them could step out of their shoes and examine the perspective from the other side… well that’s bullshit. None of them will. They are too entrenched in their religious bias and hate to even give anyone an ounce of empathy. I’m writing this from my struggle to wrap my brain around this insanity that has occurred during my whole lifetime. I will use my historical and religious knowledge to describe my dissent with these issues. Since I am human, if I error in something, I accept that blame. I have no power over these words once I write them. I simply want peace for all.

Let’s examine this. I’m going to start with Islamic extremism. Historically Islamic extremism comes about when the other two Abrahamic faiths Judaism and Christianity come into disagreement and war with Islam. The crusades were all about Christian claiming the rights to the holy land. A holy land rightfully occupied by the Muslims of the time. Israelites only recently entered into this equation when the Jewish state of Israel was founded after World War II and the profound tragedy of the holocaust impounded on the Jewish people by the white nationalist church of the nazi party (again not worthy of capitalization.) The Jewish people and the Islamic people both have a right to claim victim status to white nationalist christianity.

Israel’s formation displaced millions of Muslims from the holy land. The wars fought between Israel and their Islamic neighbors have bred Islamic extremism. Yassir Arafat’s Palestinian Liberation Organization comes to mind. Then Hamas, an Iranian funded terrorist organization in the West Bank and Gaza. Why do those extremist cells exist? When you displace a people who have lived on the land for centuries, and disregard their national culture it breeds a lot of anger. This is why the Native Americans of the United States still to this day look upon the government as enemies. Both cultures share something in common. Displacement… at the hands of an opposing culture. Blatant disrespect… A zealotry of hatred…

Now let us examine the Islamic extremism of Iran. Why does it exist? During the first year of the Eisenhower presidential administration England and the United States (through the CIA,) engineered a coup in Iran to replace a democratically elected leader, Mohammad Mosaddegh. Mosaddegh nationalized the oil industry of Iran, that was previously owned by the British Oil Industry. The economic coup was all about oil. By placing the Iranian State with a Western supported authoritarian Shah discontent grew within the country leading to Islamic religious extremism against the West. The growing movement that found Ayatollah Khomeini as an exiled spiritual leader developed into the Islamic revolution. We saw the United States consulate in Iran become a victim during this revolution. Federal employees of the consulate were held for 444 days as hostages of the revolution. President Carter worked hard to negotiate their freedom, and eventually secured it on his last day in office as he was able to negotiate an exchange by sending money the Shah of Iran had embezzled from his country for the hostages. Carter was left cleaning up the mess Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson, and Nixon all contributed to making.

All of these historical facts are easily accessible. Books, articles, wikipedia writings, political analysis journals, biographies, etc. Islamic extremism exists because of Zionism and imperialism sponsored by nation states like Great Britain and the United States. What do the zealots of Zionism and white christian nationalism do? They blame it on the Muslims. It is all their fault… for what we did to them… Herein lies my dissent with the zealotry of hate. The selfishness of nationalism. …and the ignorance of the population that carries a bias and hate for something based on a straw man fallacy. …a projection of hatred sponsored by greed… capitalism… all things Islamic extremists despise… I wonder why????

I’m not touching Afghanistan… its too much for today… for here…

Now the origins of Zionism. This is very easy to determine. The Jewish culture and religion has never truly had a homeland of their own. They have existed amongst the Egyptians, Turks, Romans, Greeks, etc. Pick an era and you will find the Jewish people in the mix, governed by different nation states and cultures. During World War II, we know the rise of the authoritarian state of the third reich within Germany pointed their fingers at the Jewish people for their economic misery. Their version of the white nationalist church of the time shared in this hatred. A zealotry so deep that genocide was forced upon the European Jewish people, gypsies, mentally ill, and LGBTQ populations. Once the war ended the Western world wanted a Jewish state for the survivors to return to. A place of safety to practice their culture and faith. The problem of doing this was it created a different problem. Muslims were displaced for the purpose of creating the Jewish nation state of Israel. The holocaust created Zionism (ethnic and religious survival.) A national movement to protect the Jewish people from all enemies of the culture. A Zealotry of self preservation that is so strong that it does not consider the displacement of Muslims as a problem. It considers the Muslims enemies. Hence the genocide in Gaza and the West Bank.

White christian nationalism within America is more murky in its origins. Its roots are based in slavery and racism. A sense of selfishness and entitlement brought upon by economic power. The United States had a civil war against a confederacy of Southern White Christian Nationalists. Sadly the American Civil War did not destroy this movement. The movement has existed in the dark realities of the nation ever since. It has grown powerful once again when Reagan was elected president in 1980. The events in Iran gave them just the right amount of spark to turn against Carter’s principled separation of church and state.

These nationalists embraced Reagans warlike rhetoric against Islamic nations, Soviets, and other anti-western forces. They also embraced Israel and the Zionist movement within it as a shared ally against the Islamic culture. The enemy of my enemy is my friend philosophy. White nationalists within America have not been known to appreciate the Jewish culture. They are just as bad as the nazis, but they hate the muslim people more. …a marriage of convenience… …shared hate… …based in religious zealotry… A hate so strong, genocide becomes acceptable…

Since the arrival of dark money in politics, political pacs that work to influence decision making in Washington DC are supported by these nationalists. Their common fear is the Muslim population around the globe. In the United States they are incredibly scared by Mayor Zohran Mamdani and Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed. Their zealotry of hatred towards these men is strictly based in religion and race. These American citizens threaten their nationalism and their security within that nationalism. None of them can handle the idea that a brown man of Islamic origins having power over them in anyway… White imperialist cowards, afraid of diversity…

Why?? These nationalists don’t know or don’t care that their historical behavior created Islamic extremism. They don’t know their own history. Their lack of education and lack of empathy is a weapon they use to intimidate. These jackasses are so arrogant within their hatred they spew all kinds of insults around social media. Media keyboard warriors, the cowards of anonymity. Straw man fallacy carrying propaganda warriors of hate. …based on information that is not factual… …endorsed by Fox News Entertainment… …and weak-minded loyalists to a dimwitted president on the take…

This is why I hate religion. Their zealotry is not based in the teachings or metaphors of kindness. It is based in the Old Testament “Torah” genocidal anger that should be dismissed as myth, inappropriate and downright hateful. The hypocrisy of these nationalized religions are so geared up to attack the Muslim people for their responses to events they themselves created. They blame their victim for responding (arrogance.) I feel great empathy for the Muslims that avoid the extremism. They are silent victims in a war based on nothing but greed and religious zealotry… This is why I embrace free thought, humanism, and atheism.

In my travels these past 20 years or so, I have come to know, observe, and appreciate the American Muslim culture that wishes to celebrate their faith in peace while acculturating to the American promise of a better life as immigrants. Muslim parents love their children, just like the rest of the world. Muslim parents are sharing American holidays with their children like Thanksgiving, Halloween, Valentine’s Day, etc. Instead of celebrating Passover, Hanukkah, Easter, or Christmas which are Jewish or Christian Holidays Muslims embrace their own holiday traditions such as Ramadan, the Baptism of Mohammed, or the Islamic New Year. The only thing that is different from all three cultures are the religious holidays. All people regardless of their faith, want the freedom to love their families and celebrate or not celebrate their religious traditions in peace…

The insanity of zealotry, or weaponization of religion through nationalism can all be traced to Christian and Zionist rhetoric against the Muslim people. The irrational fear of the Muslim people is based on straw man fallacies and deeply impassioned religious bias traced to responses from the original nationalist attacks. The hatred within the Abrahamic faiths is one of stubbornness and ignorance. They all fear education. Zohran Mamdani and Abdul El-Sayed are educated. They are powerful communicators. They are men of principle and idealism. They are men of logic that stands above the ignorance. They stand against the zealotry of hate. I admire them for being courageous. I like how they use Christian and Jewish imagery within their addresses to be inclusive within our multicultural society. All things that scare weak minded white christian nationalists or Zionists.

Those that fear these men love to stir the fires of hatred using religious zealotry. Their weakness is ignorance. I dissent against it. I’m tired of their projections of indoctrination, when they themselves are the indoctrinated. I’m tired of the weak insults of wokeness or commie liberals, because they can’t define the difference between authoritarianism and socialism. I’m tired of them using their god as an excuse to be awful to all people. I’m sick and tired of them trying to legislate our country under the guise of a christianity, when all it is, is racism wrapped in a purple cloak. None of them can truly take part in communion as they are definitely not trying to live their lives under a better word and deed.

Thank you for reading my thoughts on the zealotry of hate. Let us wash our hands of this zealotry to promote a peaceful existence for all. The real victims of this atrocity are the men and women who through imperialist dogma, religious zealotry, or nation state building that have lost their lives to the wars fought under those “ideals of hate.” Let us remember all of them whether they be Muslim, Jew, Christian, Atheist, or other faith. Death does not discriminate…

…so it goes…
